Salary: $60,000 - 64,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of UX research experience in a corporate agile environment, or at least 3 years with a masters degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or Information Design; a masters degree is preferred.
• Expertise in qualitative research methods, including usability studies, interviews, focus groups, surveys, card sorts, and heuristic reviews.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to turn research data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data-driven storytelling, including creating compelling narratives and visualizations from raw data.
• Familiarity with research tools such as Qualtrics and UserZoom, and methodologies such as Design Thinking and Lean UX.
• Strong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and team-building abilities, with a record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry is an advantage.
• Extensive experience with agile planning and development processes is an advantage.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to make decisions independently are an advantage.
• Flexibility to adapt and perform in a dynamic environment is an advantage.
• Experience with quantitative research methods is an advantage.

• Independently scope and lead complex, custom research initiatives that shape strategy for Auto, Property, and Specialty insurance experiences and support user satisfaction and business outcomes.
• Advocate for end users by combining primary and secondary research with industry news and operational data.
• Build trusted partnerships across teams and departments to encourage collaboration and innovation.
• Lead high-visibility research projects in collaboration with UX, Product Owners, IT, Analytics, and other stakeholders.
• Set research objectives and lead discovery work, including developing user personas, mapping journeys, and interpreting user goals.
• Turn research insights into actionable recommendations, provide relevant business context, and influence business partners to act on findings.
• Communicate research findings clearly, tailoring presentations for senior and executive stakeholders.
• Encourage diverse perspectives and effective cross-functional collaboration to achieve shared goals.

We are PTR Global, a provider of information technology and workforce solutions with more than 5,000 professionals serving the U.S. and Canada. This remote UX Research Contractor role is on our Experience Research team and involves improving digital experiences for varied user groups in collaboration with product development, business, and IT partners. The position is a contract lasting six or more months, with a pay range of $60–$64.
